Our Mission: GATHER. GROW. GO.

It’s really that simple. We were made by God to be in community with Him and other people. So we GATHER around God — we worship; we pray; we celebrate God’s work in our lives. We come together in love, to support and encourage one another.

But when we stand in the light of God, we recognize that we still fall short of His glory and are still being refined by the loving, guiding work of the Holy Spirit. So we come together to GROW— to progress in our knowledge of God, to develop more Christ-like behavior (turning from self-centeredness and pride to service and compassion), and to mature in wise living. We stress the value of Biblical education. It’s a big part of what we do. But not for the sake of knowledge alone.

The end purpose is God’s call for us to GO. God sends us as changed people to serve others in our community and around the world. He sends us to the broken-hearted, to the poor, to the sick and dying, to the orphaned and widowed, to those living in fear, to those living in the regret and shame of their past. He sends us to meet physical needs wherever we have ability. And He sends us to share the amazing message of hope to the world: “that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them” (2 Corinthians 5:19).
