Pastoral Council
Thank you for visiting this page...in an effort to keep the Parish Community informed of the Council's activity, the minutes will be posted on this page.  Please take the opportunity to review and express concerns you may have to the Council.
            -----------------------------------------------------------
The Parish Pastoral Council's function is to be consultative and advisory to the Pastor and not to legislate.  The primary goal of the council is to help every member of the parish to grow to the fullness of his or her Christian vocation.  The question always before the Council is, "How can all members of St. Joseph Parish be brought closer to Christ?"

The Council meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the church library.  Meetings dates are published in the weekly church bulletin.  Meetings are open to all members of the parish family.  At each meeting, time is allotted for open expression of observations and concerns.

The membership consists of a representative from the various Parish Committees and At-Large Members from the parish, nominated as needed with direction of the Pastor.

Present Members of the Pastoral Council:
Brenda Echterling, DRE - Faith Formation
Linda Trowbridge  - Evangelization
Ana Mendoza, Jose Munuz, Salvatore Nieves - Hispanic Community

Jo Gunthorp - Social Concerns
Warren Patka & Mike Keith - Knights of Columbus
Kathleen Baker - At Large

Old Business:

1. The parish coffee and donuts resumed during the summer months went well.  It was an opportunity to

get people out of the church to socialize.

2. The Parish Carnival was a lot of work and it did not raise enough money. There was a lack of participation from parishioners and outsiders; maybe it was because of the extreme heat, too many food tents or because it was at the end of  4-H Fair. Further evaluation is needed. The leftover donated pop will be used

at Corn School.

3. Fr. Andy reported the electrical problem with the Sanctuary lights have been resolved.

also like committee to help with new  Mass translations going into effect this Advent.
