St. Ann`s Music Ministry
ANYONE can find a way to be involved in the music ministry of St. Ann. All are welcome! There are also many activities in music for non-singers. Registration and additional information is available at the Music Ministry Office in the Parish Center, 733-0410. Please feel free to call the Parish Office for more information.
ADULT CHOIR rehearses Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. and sings weekly for the 11:00 a.m. Mass from September through early June and for most feast day and special services. Responsibilities also include supporting the congregational singing of hymns and acclamations and enriching worship by providing choral offerings and anthems. In addition to improving our musical skills we spend time developing our own spirituality through prayer, devotions, and retreats. The choir is also a social group – warm, friendly and always open to new members.
CANTORS lead congregational singing at the 5:15 p.m. Mass on Saturday and the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday. Responsibilities include leading and announcing all hymns and leading the psalmody and acclamations. New cantors are always welcome. Because of the level of musicianship and leadership capability required, however, the position of cantor is open by audition to the Music Director.

HIGH PLACES CONTEMPORARY MUSIC GROUP enhances worship at the 9:00 AM Mass with a variety of contemporary musical styles. It is our belief that music is a universal medium to worship, learn and proclaim our beliefs. When God’s people sing and worship together, the liturgy becomes more meaningful. Requirements for joining the group are a love of God, music and lots of fun! Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7:30 PM. High Places leads the 9:00 AM Mass year-round and at other special services. For more information on High Places visit: https://home.comcast.net/~djmm79/hpindex.htm
HANDBELL CHOIR FOR ADULTS enhances worship regularly at major feasts and other masses by providing preludes, anthems, playing hymns, or joining with our singing choirs. The handbell choir rings three octaves of Schulmerich bells. St. Ann Ringers rehearse Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
INSTRUMENTALISTS add great dynamics to our worship. Strings, brass, woodwinds, recorders, and percussion are needed to play solos, in ensemble, and with our choirs.
