The Music Ministry at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church plays an important role in our church liturgy and offers a variety of musical experiences for parishioners of all ages and ability levels. Our musicians consist of parishioners who volunteer time, talent, and service to our parish community. New members are always welcome! For more information email STAmusicministry@gmail.com.
Adult Choir The adult choir provides music for the 11am Mass each Sunday, as well as other special services, and is open to all adults and youth. Our choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings 6-7pm; rehearsal schedules may vary in order to enable more people to be involved in this important ministry of the parish.
Contemporary Group Contemporary Group provides music for the 9am Mass each Sunday, as well as at other special services.
Youth Choir The youth choir provides music for the 9am Mass every 4th Sunday, as well as at other special services.
Seasonal Choir ~ Don't have time for a weekly or monthly commitment? ~ The Easter/Christmas choir provides music for Easter Vigil/Easter Mass and/or Midnight/Christmas Day Masses. Open to all adults and youth who do not have time for a weekly or monthly commitment.
Cantors Cantors lead the assembly in song, sing as soloists, and proclaim the Word through the Responsorial Psalm for the 5pm Mass on Saturday and 11am Mass on Sunday, as well as other special services. Our cantors practice 45 minutes prior to Mass, and hold two group rehearsals per year. We offer vocal instructions and workshops by professional vocal coaches/singers. Instrumentalists Our instrumentalists accompany and support the singing of the assembly, and provide meditations at various Masses and special occasions. Open to all adults and youth; a certain level of proficiency is expected. For an audition, contact music ministry.
