Celebration of the Sacraments
Baptism: A) Infants and children under 7 years old
Parents who are registered members of Prince of Peace, need to call the office to make arrangements. These documents are needed before a baptismal date is set:
1) Birth certificate or Birth Record from the hospital Medical Records.
2) Certificate of completion of a baptismal class in the last two years from both the parents and Godparents
B) Children over 7 years old
Arrangements are made through the Director of Religious Education, Bob Shields.
C) Adults
Adults need to contact the parish office and make arrangements to attend the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program. For information, please call Deacon Steve Fraker, Pastoral Associate, in the office.
Confirmation: High School and Adults
Confirmation is celebrated in early high school years. Please contact the parish office for information.
Adult confirmation sessions (eight weeks) is offered in the fall and spring for adults beyond high school age. Please call the parish office for more information.
Eucharist: Children
Arrangements need to be made with the Director of Religious Education, Bob Shields.
Adults
Adults need to attend the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. Please call the office to speak with Deacon Steve.
Reconciliation:
The sacrament of reconciliation (confession) is offered every Saturday afternoon at 4:00 - 4:45 pm.
A communal celebration of penance with private confession is offered in the seasons of Advent and Lent.
Marriage:
Couples, need to contact the parish office at least six months before setting a date for marriage. An appointment needs to be made with Deacon Steve.

Anointing of the Sick:
Families may call the parish office to make arrangements to celebrate the sacrament for healing and strength for persons who are seriously ill. The family need to realize that this sacrament is for the living and should use discretion to call while the sick person is conscious and can participate in the celebration.
The parish is planning for communal celebrations of anointing for the sick during the year for all persons with life threatening illnesses and sickness.
