Sacrament of Baptism
Baptism preparation classes are required for parents and godparents, no more than two years prior to the baptism. This class can be taken at any Catholic Church. If attending a class anywhere other than St. Luke, please present proof of the class with the other documents. St. Luke Classes: First Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m. Registration is required for parents and sponsors. Check-in in Classroom #2. Classes are conducted in English and Spanish ($5/person). Please contact the Parish Office to register for the classes.
Baptisms: Third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in English, 11:00 a.m. in Spanish. ($10/child)
Parents must provide copy of Child`s birth certificate (issued by the county). If parents are not members of St. Luke or do not reside within parish boundaries, they must provide letter of permission from home parish. Parents must attend a baptism class no more than 2 years before the baptism.
Sponsors must provide proof of Confirmation and, if married, proof of Catholic marriage. Godparents must attend a baptism class no more than 2 years before the baptism.
DOCUMENTATION MUST BE PRESENTED IN THE PARISH OFFICE NO LATER THAN THE THURSDAY, ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED BAPTISM.
Quinceañeras Celebration is held the 2nd Saturday of the Month at 12:00 Noon. Please call the office at least six months in advance of desired date. Fee: $125. Quinceañera must be enrolled in Religious Formation or Confirmation classes at least one year prior to the requested celebration. Family must be registered members of St. Luke Parish. Please present copies of Baptism and First Communion Certificates to the Parish Office. Workshop for Quinceañera and court: 1st Wednesday of March, June, September or December. Call the parish office to reserve a spot.
Sacrament of Marriage Please contact the office at least 6 months prior to your desired wedding date. Church fee: $150.00
Religious Formation Sacramental preparation for First Communion (3 years) and Confirmation (2 years). We have continuing formation for grades Kindergarten - High School. Classes are held on Sunday evenings for Confirmation 5:30-7:30 p.m.
For Kinder-8th grade, on Monday 4:30-5:30 p.m. (1st & 2nd grade classes offered in Spanish and English at this time; all other classes are held in English) or for 1st-9th Pre-Conf. 6:00-7:00 p.m. (all classes in English)
For 1st & 2nd grade, on Tuesday 4:30-5:30 p.m. (all classes in English) or for K-8th Tuesday evenings 6:00-7:00 p.m. (all classes in English)
or for Sacramental Prep. Wednesday evenings 5:30-6:30 p.m. (1st & 2nd grade only offered in Spanish at this time; all other classes are held in English)
Please check your calendar. Fee: $40/1 child; $60/2 children; $80/3+ children $10 late fee for registrations after September 1. Please provide copy of Baptism Certificate and, if applicable, First Communion Certificate to the office at time of registration.
Registration for the 2013/2014 School Year are held in the Parish or Religious Formation Offices, beginning in June.
