MISSION STATMENT:

We Christians of St Benedict The Moor Catholic Church in Columbus, Georgia USA, called by the Gospel to follow the Savior, and guided by the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit and helped by the Holy life of St. Benedict the Moor, come together in mutual concern and support within the Roman Catholic church.

We dedicate ourselves to prayer, spiritual growth and service; trusting in God and one another as a community `Where everybody is Somebody and Jesus is the Lord.`

We are family-oriented both among ourselves and in our outreach to the local community, believing that each person uniquely reflects the Creator.

Inspired by the holy life of St Benedict the Moor, our desire is to work by all ways and means in line with our Christian morals, towards our own sanctification and that of others, "that all may know the Savior"* both through the Witness of our lives and through our Service to others.

In our service to others we are characterized by generosity and hospitality, evidenced in our efforts to be one as a family, to be one with those we are called to serve, to form in each person a sense of Christian Family, and to call people to an acceptance of their Baptismal Commitment of Love and Service.

We, as a family, offer our service in response to the needs of our church and community, using our unique gifts and talents, ever conscious of our desire to make manifest to all we meet, the goodness and kindness of Christ Our Savior.
