PROCLAMACION DE LA MISION

del Apostolado Hisapno de la Diócesis de Metuchen

Somos un pueblo de immigrantes, fiel a los valores heredados que incluyen la unidad familiar, la fe en Dios y el respeto por la tierra y la naturaleza.  Celebramos nuestras culturas, tradiciones y piedad popular en torno a un mismo idioma y sinteindo en nuestors corazones una misma alegría y una reverente humildad frente a la vida.

Vivimos apoyados en el gran consuelo que viene de la fe y la comunidad, mientras confrontamos la dure realidad causada por la pobreza, la falta de amor entre las personas, la barrera del idioma, la marginación ocasionada consumismo.  La pérdida de los valores familiars, junto con el sufrimiento de los enfermos y los niños sin recursos para garantizar so salud y un nivel adecuado de educación, representan una gran angustia hacia el futuro.

Por convencimiento y sensibilidad, hacemos un gran sacrificio por nuestras familias e hijos.  Ellos son el precioso regalo de la vida y les expresamos nuestro apoyo en el constante envoi de las llamadas “remesas” de dinero.

Nos identificamos intensamente con nuestra fe católica y con nuestra Iglesia, y queremos trabajar aún más en la construcción del Reino de Dios y progresar en nuestra conversión personal. 

Queremos hacer llegar nuestra voz a la autoridades del Estado y a los dirigen la economía para que se esfuercen en propiciar los derechos basicos de la vivienda, un salario justo y garantizar la sauld para el pueblo hispano.  Igualmente pedimos a nuestra Iglesia la oportunidad de educar nuestro hijos en programas católicos y abrir camonos que conduzcan a la educación universitaria catolica de nuestra juventud. 

En nuestra Iglesia local es una necesidad sentida el uso del idioma

español en los medios de comunicación de nuestra Diócesis.

Apoyamos todo lo anterior en la premise de la dignidad de toda persona humana y de cada familia, sin prejuicios de ninguna clase.

Como parte de la familia de fe dentro de la Iglesia de Metuchen, nos comprometemos a:

-Una entrega total a la tarea de la evangelizacion en nuestras familias, vecindarios y pueblos, aceptando el desafió de contrarrestar el constante proselitimo de las sectas fundamentalistas.

-Fomentar las vocaciones al Sacerdocio y la Vida Religiosa entre nuestros niños y jovenes, y expresar nuestra gratitude por la generosa respuesta al Diaconado permanente.

-Apoyar sin reserve participar en los programas pastorals conducidos por nuestros Párrocos, bajo el liderazgo de nuestro Obispo.

-Solidarizarnos con los menos favorecidos entre nosotros y con los hermanos immigrantes.

-Defender y respetar el don de la vida humana desde el primer momento de su concepción hasta su desenlace natural.

-Proclamar y fomenter la justicia y la paz en nuestras relaciones interpersonales, en nuestra sociedad y en el mundo entero.

MISSION STATEMENT

from the Hispanic Apostolate of the Diocese of Metuchen

We are an immigrant people, preserving our rich heritage of family unity, faith in God and a respect for the land and nature.  We celebrate our cultures, traditions and popular devotions united by a common language and with our hearts responding to a common joy and reverent humility toward life.

We live with the deep consolation of faith and community while we comfort the harsh existence caused by poverty, a lack of love among persons, the barrier of a strange language, the constant exploitation and discrimination in a consumeristic society and the loss of family values together with the suffering of the sick and the young who have little means to acquire health coverage or an adequate level of education.

We believe in the great sacrifice on behalf of our family and children with conviction for our love and compassion toward their dependence on us.  They are the precious gift of life and our support for them is evidenced in the constant transfer of financial aid through mail and cable to our needy relatives.

We identify very intensely with our Catholic faith and our church and we wish to work more and more in the building of the Kingdom of God and in our progress at personal conversion.

We call upon those in authority in our land and those who shape our economy to be leaders in the work of basic rights of housing, just wage and health insurance for our Hispanic people.  As well, we call upon our church for the opportunity to educate our children in a Catholic setting and to find ways to make Catholic University education a reality for our Hispanic youth.

We recognize a further need within our Diocese for

Spanish language publications and telecommunications.

We commit ourselves as part of the family of faith here in the Church of Metuchen:

-To complete dedication to the work of evangelization in our homes, neighborhoods and our towns, recognizing the sobering challenge to offset persistent proselitism by fundamentalist sects.

-To cultivate vocations to the priesthood and religious life in the lives of our children and youth and give thanks for the generous responses being made to the permanent deaconate.

-To serve without reserve the efforts of our pastoral programs guided by our pastors and under the leadership of our bishop.

-To consider in solidarity the most needy among us and never to forget the plight of the immigrant.

-To defend and respect the gift of human life from its first moment of conception until its natural passing.

-To proclaim justice and peace in our personal relationships, one to another, in our society and throughout our world.

Objetivos (Objectives):  Nuestro Ministerio Hispano se propone delante de Dios, cumplir para el periodo Julio 2006 – Julio 2007 lo siguiente: (Our Hispanic Ministry, in front of God, is committed to achieve during July 2006 to July 2007 the following:)

A.General (General):

            Clarificar los ideales del servicio pastoral de los integrantes del Ministerio Hispano Parroquial, con el fin de la adquisición de una lógica definición orgánica de lo que se puede hacer como bautizados y batizados concientoes, buscando el más adecuado fortalecimiento de nuestro Ministerio “María de Guadalupe” en sus programas, proyectos y actividades. (To clarify the members’ ideals of the Parish’s Hispanic Ministry to the pastoral services, with the intent to acquire a logic organic definition of what can be done as conscious baptized individuals, searching for the most appropriate way to strengthen our ministry, “Maria of Guadalupe,” in its programs, projects and activities.)

B. Específicos (Specifics):

1.      Ser efectivos en que nuestro trabajo presente cada día major al Señor Jesús en su mensaje integral, aun los ambientes adversos a su cruz y resurrección, en las realidades en que laboramos. (To be effective in that each day our work better presents to the Lord Jesus Christ’s integral message, even in his adverse ambiences to the cross and resurrection, in the atmosphere of labor.)

2.      Presentar cada accíon pastoral con alegría, facultando el crecimiento integral de la Comunidad Hispana.  (To present each pastoral action with joy, authorizing the integral growth of the Hispanic community.)

3.      Buscar que el mensaje programado sea accessible para la comunidad, sin dejar de ser fieles al Señor Jesús en la Madre Iglesia. (To find out if the programmed message is going to be accessible to the community, without ceasing to be faithful to Jesus Christ in the Mother Church.)

Reglas a Cumplir (Rules to Comply to):

1.      Buscar el crecimiento spiritual de los miembros del M.H. en su Consejo Pastoral y Económico. (Search for the spiritual growth of the members of the Hispanic Ministry in it Pastoral and Economic Council.)

2.      Trabajar en plena armonía con los lineamientos divinos y de la Madre Iglesia, en total communión con el Sr. Cura Párroco Blaise Baran. (Work in complete harmony with the divine guidelines and of the Mother Church, in complete communion with the Pastor, Very Reverend Blaise Baran.)

3.      Punualidad y responsabilidad en el trabajo pastoral. (Punctuality and responsibility in the pastoral work.)

4.      Obediencia en los órdenes administrativos. (Obedience to the administrative orders.)

5.      Practicar la humildad entre los integrantes del M.H.P. (Practice humbleness withing the members of the P.H.M.)

6.      Cumplir con last areas dispuestas para determinadas actividades.  (Complete the tasks given to specific activities.)

7.      Respetar la agenda del día, de acuerdo al calendario de trabajo, consultando con respeto cuando se quiere opinar.  (Respect the daily agenda in accordance with the work schedule, communicating with respect when proposing a personal opinion.)

8.      Formentar el crecimiento integral comunitario.  (Encourage the integral growth of the community.)

9.      Cuidar el testimonio de vida, porque somos servidores y servidoras públicos(as).  (Care for life’s testimony, because we are public servers.)

10.  A los 10 minutos de iniciada la reunión se no hay cuorom se termina con sanciones la sesión del C.H.P.  Con tres reunions injustificadas se considera la persona vinculada fuera del servicio pastoral.  (After 10 minutes of the beginning of a meeting, if there is no full attendance the session of the P.H.C. will be end with a prayer.)
