Altar Rosary Society: The Altar Rosary Society was established to honor our Blessed Mother by reciting the Holy Rosary for prayerful intentions with a sincere devotion and to give glory to hey Son, Jesus Christ, and God our Savior. Devotion to the Rosary unites everyone in our common need of prayer. Praying the Rosary helps in creating a unique and highly effective Christian Community of Faith. The members of the society take particular care of the Altar and its related needs. They gather monthly to pray the Holy Rosary with intentions focused on the community around us, as well as personal intentions. At their general meeting they discuss various activities that include: ecumenical, social, and community projects. Altar Rosary joins with the churches of other faiths and participates in programs with them to share our Christian faith. They enjoy sharing our gifts of plenty, given to us by God. On occasions they celebrate these gifts with fine dining and the enjoyment of each other’s company. The Altar Rosary helps to serve at community luncheons that are provided throughout the year. The members travel to Warren Haven Nursing Home monthly to recite the Rosary with the Catholic Residents. The members are requested to participate according to each person’s individual time and talent allowances. Everyone is welcome to attend their gatherings at any time. Rosary is prayed before the 5pm Mass on Saturday and before the 9am Mass on Sunday. For more information please contact: Ann Krouse & Joan Ryno (Chairpersons)
Art & Environment Ministry: The ministry of Art & Environment at St. Joseph strives to provide an appropriate and meaningful worship space for our community celebrations. They use what talents they have to visually support the liturgical seasons throughout the year. Although their work is most visible at Easter and Christmas, they work throughout the year, preparing and decorating our worship space. Participating in this ministry can be an enriching experience, both spiritually and educationally. They not only learn about the use of appropriate decorations, they also explore the mysteries of our faith. Members tailor their own participation according to their individual talents and availability. For more information please contact: Sharon Levin (Chairperson)
