Our Walking to the Cross 6week walking challenge for Lent began with Ash Wednesday and will end Holy Week- hopefully we will cover those 7,526 miles to Jerusalem by Easter! Our focus this time is on Lenten prayer and sacrifices- walking as a form of worship, journeying to the Cross with our Brother Jesus and with our Parish families- both Saint Kateri Parish and Our Lady of Lourdes. Our Walking to the Cross devotional books (free & available in the foyer) offer us a weekly and daily reflection and prayer. We are then challenged to have a "movement goal" for the week and personal prayer and offering to Jesus. We pray that with each step on our walk, all will feel stronger physically and spiritually, and closer to Our Lord! God bless & Godspeed on your personal journey with Jesus! Remember to log in your miles each week in the books in the foyer (or email pdeangelo@comcast.net)--together we will become healthier in mind, body & spirit! (We will celebrate our last walking program and this one at our "Post-Mardi Gras Party" with OLOL after Easter! Watch the bulletin and our Health Care Ministry Bulletin Board for more info) Week 1 : "You desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart."-Psalm 51:6 Miles: 1047- we have made it to Halifax Nova Scotia and on our way to St John's, NL Week 2: "My refuge and my fortress is God, in Whom I trust."-Psalm 91:2b Miles: 1189.5 for a total of 2236.5 miles- we made it to St John's NL Canada and we are on our way to Reykjavik, Iceland Week 3: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?"-Psalm 27:1a Miles:
