Protecting God`s Children
ATTENTION ALL ADULTS: Do you currently work with or are you planning to work with children in the Diocese of Metuchen? As per Diocesan policy, for the protection of all children in our parish and also yourself, ALL Adults working with children in our Diocese MUST complete the workshop “Protecting God’s Children”. If you have not completed this program yet, you MUST complete it now. There are two parts to the program:
Part 1: Training at SEAS will be held in the Parish Center at a pre-determined date and time. (Please check the bottome of this page for new information). Pre-Registration is MANDATORY. Log onto: www.virtus.org. If you have any questions, or do not have on-line access and are unable to register for the workshop, please contact Jeanmarie Dool at 788-0591.
Part 2: MANDATORY FINGERPRINTING/PHOTOS/BACKGROUND CHECKS
If you have not previously completed this background check you MUST**complete the background check and fingerprinting. (**Summer RF parents, if you will be assisting with more than one child, you must complete this program.) If you have PREVIOUSLY been background checked at our parish, then you do not need to repeat this procedure. If you have PREVIOUSLY been background checked through ANY OTHER AGENCY, (INCLUDING IF YOU ARE A TEACHER, NURSE OR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, ETC.), YOU MUST STILL BE CHECKED THROUGH OUR DIOCESAN MANDATED PROGRAM VIA KID SAFE.
Please bring two forms of ID, including one photo ID. Pre-registration is Mandatory via the sign up sheet in the hallway near the Religious Formation Offices. If you have any questions about fingerprinting and background checks, please contact the RF office.
Attention All Adults:
There will be a Protecting God’s Children Workshop on August 25th from 7:00pm-10:00pm in the Holy Family Room. All new catechists, aides, hall monitors, building coordinators, substitutes, nurses and anyone who is helping in any way during Religious Formation class time should attend. If you have already completed this workshop, you do not need to attend again. Please pick up pertinent information outside the RF office and pre-register at www.virtus.org to attend.
