Liturgical Hospitality
St. Paul instructed the assembled community to "welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, to the glory of God" (Romans 15:7) Our mission of hospitality is a vital element in creating a sense of community for worship. People are coming as inbited guests of the Lord himself to share in His supper.
Our role reaches far beyond ushering, i.e., finding a seat for someone. As our sisters and brothers ener through the doors of the church, the ministers of hospitality are their first contact as they prepare to worship as a community and to celebrate the Eucharist.
it is our call to welcome the Lord's guests to His home. A person who feels welcome is much more likely to enter into the celebration of the liturgy wholeheartedly, giving thanks to God for the love that God pours out on us.
Many other vital roles are undertaken by our ministry:
Handing out Worship Guides Providing special assistance to those in need Taking up the offering Directing the communion procession Distributing the parish bulletin
Our ministry is open to all who wish to greet God's flock and foster a sense of welcome to His home.
