The Flemington Food Pantry
Coordinator: Sue Benz
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton has been supporting the Flemington Area Food Pantry for some time. the Food pantry supports the surrounding area and helps out those who are in need of a little extra help. At the present time, they support over 1,200 families. Most of the items in the Food Pantry are donated by indivivuals, groups, and businesses in the area. All those who work at the Food Pantry are dedicated volunteers.
Every month our pparish collects nonperishable items and transports them to the Area Pantry. It is thgough the generosity of our parishioners that we have been able to provide the key items required for families here in our community. Their needs have continued to grow during this most recent economic downturn, so it is more important than ever that we continue to remember those less fortunate.
The bin for the food pantry is located in the Narthex of the church. All month donations are put into the bin and after the last weekend of the month, they are taken to the Food Pantry.
Let us express our gratitude for what we have by sharing with others and providing food for those less fortunate. Quite often we don't realize that there are people in need all around us. So every little donation helps and is greatly appreciated.
It is so heart warming to see all the wonderful people who donate! God bless you!
There are but a few memebers in this ministry who transport our donations for the parish. It doens not require much time but the rewards are many.
