Bus Trip to National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
On June 20, two bus loads of parishioners made the pilgrimage to the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg, Maryland. A beautiful and inspiring day was had by everyone. The Basilica and grounds are gorgeous and the sisters that run the Shrine were very gracious hosts. Even the weather cooperated - - it only rained while we were on the bus and when one small group toured the beautiful grounds. The day was a success because of the efforts of some hard working people: special thanks to Mary Ann Hauck for the hours and hours she spent getting this trip organized; thanks to Fran Cherepon for all the details she added to making everything special; thank you Father Tom and Deacon Paul for the beautiful mass celebrated for us in the Basilica; thank you Ellen Gentzel and Colleen Cucci for lending their beautiful voices to the mass; and, last but not least, thank you to the ladies and gentlemen who served at the mass or worked behind the scenes in helping Mary Ann get ready for the day. This pilgrimage was a wonderful way to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of our own SEAS parish.
