Established in 1876, St. Bernard Cemetery is one of the oldest Catholic Cemeteries in Somerset County. Serving the parish community of St. Bernard and the parishes in the surrounding area, the cemetery is located on Route 28 West, just one mile from the Somerville Circle. We have just completed landscaping surrounding the new 825 crypt mausoleum which includes a beautiful new prayer garden with walkways and three meditation areas with granite benches.
Both above ground mausoleum crypts and in ground plots are available and we have a select number of memorial trees, stones, and benches to honor your loved ones throughout the prayer garden area. Please call the Cemetery Office for availability.

Mark T. LaFleur, our Cemetery Director, has been employed with St. Bernard for over 20 years, managing and maintaining the mausoleums and cemetery grounds, as well as caring for our families before and after bereavement. He is available to meet with families to discuss the options that St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery has to offer as a final resting place.
Mark is assisted in the office by his Assistant who works out of the cemetery house office, which is located to the left of the main gates of the cemetery on Route 28.
If you wish to have further information about the mausoleum or would like discuss cemetery business including the location of gravesites or mausoleum spaces or if you would like to discuss pre-need planning, please contact Mark at 908-725-5566 between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, from Monday through Friday, to arrange for an appointment. You may also feel free to call Mark concerning any billing questions. Mark LaFleurmay be reached through email at stbchcemetery@aol.com.
