September News from our
PRESCHOOL and KINDERGARTEN
Emergency Information & Medical Forms: Are due immediately! Please help us by keeping work, home, cell phone and emergency numbers current. Please give us written updates if your work address changes. This information is critical if we need to reach you in an emergency!
School Emergency/Closings: In the event of any emergency or bad weather please tune to radio station 101.5FM and listen for our school announcement. You may also call the school & listen to our voicemail message.
Safety Reminder: Children should wear closed shoes/sneakers to school. These provide the most stable footwear for outdoor play & play in the gymnasium. Socks are always required. Sneakers must be worn on Gym days!!
Program Time: If your child attends our half –day program: 9 to 11:30 am, please adhere to the time frame closely! Classroom teachers need time until 8:50am to prepare for the day! Children will be busy with their activities until dismissal @ 11:30am. If you come before 11:30 please be kind & keep the hallways quiet!
Extended Care Programs: Our school closes promptly at 5:30pm.
Please be on time! A late fee is instituted for those arriving after 5:30pm. Our school staff has evening obligations: family obligations, evening school classes and workshops. We rely on your consideration and punctuality in this regard!
Bedding Bags: For children in our Extended Care Program, are to be laundered weekly, along with your child’s bedding! Bags will be sent home each Friday!
Change of Clothes: Each child must have a change of clothes kept in their classroom, including socks and underwear! If you have not already done so, please send these items in immediately & label your child’s bag! When the weather becomes cooler please send in long pants & sweatshirts.
Medical Note: School policy must be followed regarding illness. Sick children should be kept at home, so that other children are not affected. We rely on parents to use good judgment in the instance of illness – please remember we depend on you to come to the school quickly to take a sick child home!
Special Dates: Individual classes will post news about Special Activities on the write-on boards outside the classrooms. Please read this board daily! Events that you will hear more about are coming up......
