Welcome to the Church of St. Bernard of Clairvaux, in Bridgewater, New Jersey! St. Bernard is the oldest Catholic Church in Somerset County and has a distinguished legacy of faith and service to the people of our area. Originally a stop along the mission trails, today St. Bernard has grown to a parish of more than 2,200 registered households, serving the communities of Raritan, and portions of Bridgewater and Branchburg Townships.

A parish, as defined by the Code of Canon Law, is a stable community of the People of God and as such one should be able to identify within such a community the various elements which constitute the life and the mission of the Universal Church. That is why we strive to be a family of faith, committed to living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness.

It is my hope that this website will be an introduction to the life and ministries of St. Bernard parish. Within it you will find a regularly updated parish event calendar, registration and contact information, and a comprehensive list of parish ministries and services. You will also find opportunities for you to be more involved in the life of your parish.
