We, the people of Saint John the Baptist Parish, serving the communities of Roxborough, Manayunk and Wissahickon, in communion with the Pope and the Archbishop of Philadelphia, commit ourselves to: Gather as Church to celebrate the Lord`s presence through the Eucharist and the other sacraments. Become a loving, forgiving, friendly and welcoming community, reaching out to serve the needs of our entire family: children, young adults: single and married, parents: married, separated, divorced and widowed - all people of our parish through educational programs based on Sacred Scripture. Spread the Good News through word and action to all in our communities that Jesus is Lord. Serve the less fortunate, especially the homebound and sick, through generous acts of charity and respect. Remember the faithful departed of our parish whose faith, sacrifices and traditions have built and sustained the faith we now enjoy. Under the patronage of Saint John the Baptist and through the intercession of Mary, Mother of the Church, may we be beacons for those who are seeking the Kingdom.
