MISSION STATEMENT

Saint Augustine of Canterbury Parish, in Hecker, Illinois, is a Roman Catholic parish of the Diocese of Belleville. Our parish exists to help people in our area to know, love, and serve God, with the grace, knowledge and forgiveness given to us by Jesus Christ through the Catholic Church, so that we all may one day share in the eternal happiness of heaven. Based on our union with our Risen Lord Jesus, we make the Eucharist the center of our parish life and devoutly celebrate the Sacraments. We welcome everyone to share in this life and celebrate with us.

We proclaim the Word of God to our children, our youth, and to all. We share Godís love through charity and justice toward those in spiritual or material need.
