I have a 2004 Corvette. My wife's family and I have been using this company for years. A few weeks ago I had $2000 worth of repairs done to my car here. The repairs were good. When I picked my car up it was overcast and drizzling. My windows are very darkly tinted and it's hard to see through them. I picked my car up, drove home and parked the car in my driveway. A few days later the weather was really nice so I decided to put the top down and take a ride. When I put my window down I was stunned to see that there was a white gouge on the top of the mirror and the mirror housing was cracked pretty badly. Since I drove the car directly home and parked it, and I know the crack and gouge were not there previously I was sure it happened while at Schwartz & Nagel. I was waiting for another company in the same town to call me about fixing a repair they had done to my cars body that didn't hold. They took a few days to call me back and set an appointment. Since I prefer to do things in person and not be a weasel and hide behind the phone I waited until I had to go to Highland Park to the body shop before I returned to show the owner of S&N what they had done. He looked at it and asked why I waited to show him. I explained I do things in person and that I live 20 minutes away so I waited until I was in town to stop by. He looked at the damage and said they take care of it. That was until he found out how much it was going to cost at which time he did a 180 and said he would only repair it and wasn't willing to shell out $720. I told him as long as it looked OK I was fine with that. When I picked the car up it looked like crap. They didn't buff out the gouge very well and it looks like the super glued it and tried to buff it out to hide the crack. Didn't work. After I found the problem I had to take my daughter to Doylestown, PA for custody court and put 150 miles on the car which he is now trying to use as an excuse to not fix the car. He said I should have immediately notified him, but I didn't see it because I rarely drive the car. I thought they were descent honest people until now. They do descent work, but they obviously don't take responsibility for their mistakes. I will avoid this shop due to what I consider a bad business decision by the owner. My wife's family and I have been loyal customers for years and you can see what that got us. I own my own business and would never treat a customer the way I was treated. I have over 900 clients and I will tell every one of them to pass the word along not to use this company ever.
