Hello, I have recently left Queens and relocated in upstate NY. In the ordeal of my unpacking and I don`t know how I have this item but maybe you might be interested in it. It is a Souvenir Program pamphlet from Blessed Virgin Mary, Help of Christians Parish, Winfield, Long Island, DIAMOND JUBILEE YEAR., 1854-1929. It is in pristine condition. If this is something you might want, please let me know and I will send it along. I can also scan and send pictures if you wish. Thanks, Victoria DiCasa

I wanted to find the parish where I was baptized in 1951. I thought it was "Saint Mary`s Help of Christians" but see now it is "Blessed Virgin Mary Help of Christians". The photo is obviously the "new church". I was there when it was an old (I think) gothic style church. My mother gave her wedding ring for the crown of the the Statue of Mary. She finally got a new wedding ring from my father on their 25th Wedding Anniversary. My parents are both deceased now; but I want to keep the `stories and memories` alive. Will be in New York for a week in early August; may try to see the new church and find out what happened to the jeweled crown of Mary. Is is still there? I am a priest with the Society of the Divine Savior (the Salvatorians) and am in my 12the year as a Campus Minister at Saint Mary`s College of California, in the Oakland Diocese. Blessings. Fr. Sal!
